Ruth’s career in medicine has lasted for over 40 years during which time she has worked in general practice and progressed professionally, gaining qualifications in family planning, education, and her Doctorate in Medicine, where she investigated doctors’ stress. The award of an OBE in 2012 recognised her contribution to primary care in Stoke-on-Trent, the west midlands region, and nationally.
